Advertising legend Dan Kennedy once gave a buncha yuppie marketers this sage advice:

“Hire slow, fire fast.” 

Because some people can give great interview.

They just know how to impress in the one-on-one setting.

Charming.

Bright eyed.

Well-dressed.

But incompetent when you put them behind a laptop or out in the field!

And it only takes one dumb hire to kill a business.

On the other hand…

If you build and all-star team from the start, you can’t fail.

If you’ve got…

All stars who sell for you
All stars who do customer service for you
All stars who create products for you

…can you possibly fail?

Probably not.
