Have you ever been around a toddler who won’t stop asking questions?
“Why are there two yellow lines on the road instead of one?”
“Why do they sell milk and cereal separately if you eat them together?”
“Why did your hair fall out?”
There’s no limit to the amount or subject of their questions when it comes to kids.
And the really incredible part?
They expect adults to know all the answers.
At least, I did when I was young.
I would ask my parents everything from why the stars are so small in the sky to why no one liked my aunt.
And every time I expected an answer then and there.
But as I grew up, something weird happened.
I realised that adults don’t have all the answers.
Even the ones who have the job and income that everyone else wants.
In fact, it was the ones who had what everyone else wanted that had the least answers.
They could tell me how to get a good job or how to play the stock market, but when it came down to the real questions like how do I know what I should do with my life or what’s the secret to happiness they looked at me like I was speaking in another language.
So what are you supposed to take away from all this?
